You may not know how important scent really is or the affect scent has on us. In fact, the strongest sense tied to memory is scent!

Some Hugo Naturals scents are: calming lavender, energizing grapefruit, refreshing spearmint or comforting vanilla and sweet orange.  We’d like to share with you a little bit about the “scent sensation” of three of our popular scents.

French Lavender
The essential oil of lavender has a calming, sedative, and anti-convulsive effect. This helps with conditions such as stress, depression, anxiety, insomnia, headaches and mental fatigue. In fact, up until World War I, Lavender was used to treat various injuries and illnesses!

Vanilla & Sweet Orange
Vanilla has a similar calming effect like lavender; it helps reduce stress and anxiety. Vanilla is also known to be a mood booster and create a more positive, uplifting spirit. The refreshing scent of fresh orange also helps reduce feelings of depression

Patchouli & Sandalwood
Patchouli and sandalwood are both considered romantics scents that may actually simulate human pheromones. Its warm and woody scent creates a sense of warmth and balance. Sandalwood also has a sedative, calming affect that will help reduce anxiety or stress. Patchouli has proprieties in it that may reduce nausea.
